Hotel Lamia: New York

A vampire and a vampire hunter walk into a bar…or in this case a hotel. It sounded every bit the start of a bad joke that Hunter’s life felt like lately.

Sixteen years of hunting vampires and now he’d landed in a hotel full of them, and the punch line? They regularly fed from their guests, the humans unknowing of their blood donation to the vampire race. Every cell in his burned to wipe the whole nest out, images of his parents–throats freshly torn open by flashing fangs–haunting him. But one thing held him back.

The laws. As long as none of the vampires killed a human, he couldn’t lay a finger on them. So here he stayed, waiting for one of them to slip as they all did. The longer his stay stretches, the more time he spends with Myka, and the more real his premonitions begin to feel surrounding them. A relationship, with them.

He won’t let it happen. To lay with the same ilk of creature that’d killed his parents and thousands more? It was against the very reason he’d set out on his life mission. No matter what his premonitions say, no spark or fire will burn between them, not while he still breathed.

But now to find out if Hunter will be able to see past Myka's immortality and accept the gift she's meant to be.
